What's the haps, chaps?!

I thought this to be a highly delightful greeting, one which I came up with by accident the other day. I was wandering about doing something or other, when a wonderful idea suddenly sprung into my head, quite without warning. I should start referring to people as 'chaps'!

And then, if this sudden revelation alone wasn't fantastic enough, it was immediately followed by a second. But just before I refer to them as 'chaps', I should first greet them with 'What's the haps?!' Here, I nodded to myself, a grin beginning to form on my face. Oh, that one's definitely gonna be used on mallorymaloney.com next Updates/Blog entry, without a doubt. It's clever, quirky, and contradictory ... Much like myself!

Here, I preformed a bit of a celebratory dance for myself. Said dance involved much arm wobbling and gentle shuffling of the feet.

Needless to say, I churned that coal. I churned it good.

Two new quotes have been added to the Family's Funny Quotes page. I definitely suggest checking out these new quotes, because they can only be described as one way tickets via rotflcopter to Chuckleopolis. Seriously, guys, we're talking about the trip of a loltime here. Don't miss out! O_O;

One new discovery has been added to the Extraordinary Edibles page. If your fire of fury is easily ignited, then I do not recommend viewing this new update. I do not recommend it at all. >_>; You have been warned.

To my Wishlist page, six new items have been added, three items I've decided I no longer wish for were removed, and, best of all --- Two items I've been wishing for have finally been checked off! ^o^

One of those checked off items was something I've wanted for approximately six years. Something made of black matte pleather. Something with a massive platform heel. Something that only comes sold in pairs. Something you wear on your feet. Something that I blogged about way back on 2 April 2010 because I couldn't decide which pair to purchase and needed help making said decision. That something ...?

Oh, c'mon! After all those highly obvious clues, you're still sitting there asking me, 'What something?' Get the fuck out. Seriously, just get right the fuck out, man. I don't have the time to waste on dickwads like you. =_=

;She folds her arms and begins tapping her right hand's fingers on her left arm, watching with visible impatience as a small parade of absolute bellends slowly and shamefully make their way out of the room.;

Now, then.

;She clears her throat with the air of someone who considers themselves to be of the highest importance.;

As anyone with an eighth of a brain would know, that aforementioned 'something' is, quite obviously, the pair of Demonia boots I finally decided on --- The Concord 108 design, AKA the second boot pictured on my 2 April 2010 entry! ^o^ Before I go on, though, allow me to break up all of this wordage with a compilation of photographs. Click the thumbnail below to view said compilation in actual size!

As I'm sure you can immediately tell upon examining the photo compilation above, these are, without a doubt, the most gorgeous pair of wear for one's foot that I have ever owned in my entire life. I love everything about them: The plethora of buckles and the fact that each and every one is adjustable for a complete customised fit, the zippers on the back so you don't actually have to bother with the buckles to get them on and off, how sturdy they feel, how comfortable they seem to be so far, and the fact that they smelt pretty Goddamn awesome coming out of the box. o_o;

On top of being the most gorgeous boots I've ever owned, they're also the highest! Without these on, I stand at exactly five foot three and a half inches --- An annoyingly short height of which I've never truly been fond. However, when I zip up into these babies, I'm closer to five foot eight and a half! *o*

This height increase alone is enough to make me want to wear 'em everyday! Something which I'm actually going to have to start doing, and soon, considering I bought them to wear to the Green Day concert I'm attending on 18 August ... And everyone knows that you don't wear a brand new pair of a shoes to an event where you know you're going to be standing for hours upon hours on end. @_@;

Speaking of the Green Day concert, it's now only sixty nine days away! #_#; This both excites and frightens me at the same time. It excites me for reasons that should be obvious to anyone who's known me for longer than five minutes --- Green Day's my favourite band of all time, their music is one of the most important things to me, I love, admire, and worship each of the band members more than what's considered normal, and the two times I've seen them play live in the past have been the best experiences of my entire life, hands down.

And as for the reason why it frightens me ...? Well, I admit it's a bit of a shallow reason, but it is a reason, nonetheless: Aside from my new Demonia boots, and a pair of red and black thigh highs I recently purchased on eBay that've yet to arrive in the mail, I still haven't decided what, exactly, I'm going to wear for the concert. o_o;

Obviously, I'm still going with the black and red colour scheme, but other than that, I'm rather overwhelmed. This is probably due to the fact that I've decided to buy an entirely new outfit to wear to the show, and thus have way too much to choose from! In an HTML file on my computer, I've gathered together a collection of links from all over the Internet, each leading to a different top or skirt being sold in an eBay auction or an online store ... Nearly thirty links in all. #_#; So I'm sure you can understand my dilemma!

I'm gonna give it one more week --- Until mallorymaloney.com's next Updates/Blog entry on 17 June, in fact --- And if I still haven't ordered anything, I'm gonna pick out five of my most favourite tops and five of my most favourite skirts out of my massive link collection and post 'em here to get help deciding! ^~^;

I hope it doesn't come to that, though, because I don't wanna run the risk of not receiving the clothing in time for the concert! X_X; Granted, most items arrive in the mail a fuck of a lot sooner than sixty or fifty odd days, but still ... There's no need to tempt Fate. He can be quite the cruel Master if you don't treat Him with the utmost of respect. @_@;

Until next week, m'friends, much heartage --- And don't hesitate to share any extra luck you might have laying around to aid in my splendidly shallow decision making! ^_~

  1. Those boots are fucking amazing. I've always wanted to buy a pair of Demonia boots, but I never want to spend the money in case they don't fit me. I have beefy runner's calves so I'm always worried about high-cut boots fitting around them (and I think I already told you this! Haha.)

    As for your outfit dilemma, you'll probably end up having a stroke of genius at the very last moment. It's what happens to me whenever I try to plan anything and it's just not working out!

  2. Whoops. I fucked up my URL in the last comment. One thousand awesome points to me!

  3. Haha, I love your new greeting;) Indeed a highly delightful one:P

    Good luck with the outfit dilemma:) I'm sure you can do it!

  4. Ahahahaa, the image of you dancing about is making me chuckle too much! I love your inventive greetings cause we always get a brilliant back-story about it! I wish I was as conscientious about my own blog, but nahh.. I just launch straight in, being the gobby little shit that I am :)

    'Trip of a loltime'!! That is so clever!! Forgive me, I love it when people mess about with words like you do, and it always fascinates me when you come up with a new 'un! I'm actually aploplectic with laughter at the quote involving your Dad and Justin Beiber. Oh my God, that is so funny!! It was funny enough without the back story, but the addition of the situation and the explanation just made it so much better. Delicioso! Hug your Dad for me plskthx!

    "a small parade of absolute bellends" I am so glad you use the word bellend!! It makes me so proud as it is one of my all-time favourite words!! You really are my favourite Mallymoo! What the fuck was that? I really don't know, but I feel sick and awful because of it. What is with me making up stupid crappy nicknames for people? I should just stick to Canadian Idiot and have done with it ;D I jest, I jest..

    AMAZING BOOTS!! I'm not a fan of big Gothic-type boots like that, but those ones are especially shiny and nice, and they look good on your SEXAAAY legs ;D So I'm happy, you're happy, Stevie Wonder's happy.

    You should just go with the flow for your Green Day outfit.
    After all, AFI are supporting, so it's all good times ;D

    -- Kayleigh

  5. That is the best greeting ever. *steals* ;D

    I adore the boots! :D I'm glad you chose the second pair, haha, seeing as those were the ones I liked best away back at the start of April. I was actually just thinking a few days ago about whether you'd bought a pair, and I was like '...I'm sure she'd have mentioned it. In great detail, with much enthusiasm.' Not that I actually think like that, I'm trying to make myself sound like an intelligent person. I thought something along those lines in the Scottish dialect I use in my head but not very much out loud because my voice is too 'middle-class' for it to work, really. For example, if I refer to Glasgow as Glesga then I sound stupid. :L

    Oh look, I'm rambling. I should stop that.

    But yeah, while I wouldn't have the confidence to wear boots like that-because they will be noticed, they're that awesome-I love them and would totally wear them if I was a more confident person. XD

    Good luck sorting out an outfit! :D It's never been a huge bother for me, I wear the same type of things 24/7, but I know how important outfits can be. I'm sure you'll find something stunning, and look amazing :) Getting your commenters to help would definitely be a good idea if you can't decide, I think. I mean, it worked for the boots, right? :3
    I love how thoroughly you've gone about looking for clothes though. From what I've seen, you're that meticulous about a lot of things. I wish I could be like that, but I'm really far too lazy. :P I'm trying to take more care over things now though. You've inspired me. :)

  6. I'm just imagining your brother standing in the kitchen with a Popsicle box over his head... that made me laugh so hard.

    I am going to marry him someday. There's only a 2 year difference.

  7. Those look really heavy. I'm pretty sure you could break someone's shin if you kicked them. XD I can't wear anything with a heel at all, which makes me sad; they're so pretty, but they just KILL my ankles even if the heel is incredibly slight. So I'm stuck with flats, flip-flops, and tennis shoes. :/ Speaking of tennis shoes, I've been trying to find a new pair for several months, but the only cute ones don't have arches; if they have an arch (seriously, I need walking shoes), they're ugly or not waterproof. And it rains here all the time (go on and check the weather in Vancouver, Washington—I dare you), so I kind of need something waterproof. :(

    Ooh! I think that even if you don't need help deciding what to wear, you should post photos of your favorites anyway. I think that finding out what other people wear and look like is quite exciting. ;D

  8. Hello mallory! I haven't been able to get back to your comment in awhile. I apologize for that. Thanks for wishing me a happy birthday. :-) Georgina wrote something nice about me on her blog so I figured I owed her that much back. :-)

    I didn't know you were over the age of 20. It's a bit hard to believe because you look so young.

    Interesting looking boots. I was going to ask you if you bought them because you're excited to dress up as something for halloween haha but then I read more. My bad. :X I'm not a boots person, I actually dislike them very much & the only time I'd even buy a pair is if it were raining & I'd need rain boots. Soo I apologize if I can't say anything nice about your boots so I won't! They always say, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all! :-)

    & I absolutely hate Green Day...so again, not going to say anything. Gah I'm sorry. haha we're obviously polar opposites. I'm actually a bit surprised you like them since you seem to be a bit on the darker/goth side than the faded pop-rock band. But hey it's cool, I love Britney Spears...& I love Marilyn Manson so everyone's got their odd kinks. :)

    Well if your stuff doesn't come in time for the concert, I'm sure you can put something else together. When it comes to shows, I normally just wear something that will keep me cool & comfortable. Especially because it gets super hot with all of those other people standing in the same room as you. & I hate when people just..wipe their sweat all over you. I went to a music festival last year & this guy had his shirt off..& ugh he was sweating all over. I got pushed into him & I turned around to my friend & made this, "OMFG ... EW....." face & a bunch of others that saw me were laughing. It was..so gross..

  9. Awesome! You chose the boots I had! Those babies are sweet! Oil them and slap their asses for me. lol
    I loved the added inches those suckers gave me too. (That sounds sooo dirty by the way) Haha!
    The zipper and numerous buckles are to die for. You should get a red plaid skirt to wear with them. That would look pretty wicked.

  10. Sexxxy boots!! You definitely have good taste and they look great on you. I'm a teeny 5'2" and even though I don't mind being short, its nice to feel taller sometimes (especially at a concert!!!). You should put together some outfits with them and post them. I'm not very creative when it comes to outfit assembly and I want to get a pair of boots sometime soon (buckled ones similar to those), so any examples are helpful to me, seriously.

  11. Holy shit, man. Those are fucking SWEET boots. I don't know if you've noticed this or not, but your socks match the air vent. xD
    At you least you're over 5 feet tall. -___- I'm at a height of 4'11". My dad is kind of short for a man, and my mom is shorter than me by over an inch /sigh. I wish I had your boots. They look like they can kick ass, and add so much to a person's height.

    I hope you get your clothes in time for the concert. If you're still left undecided, your fans here will surely help you out. xD

  12. Those boots are sweet! Must be a bit stiff at the moment though, but if you break into them they'll be like slippers. 8) aha. *strokes pictures of boots*

    As for what to wear, I wouldn't choose a Tshirt which is quite thick, afterall you're gonna be in a really hot pit, covered in beer, sweat, and other people's sweat. :3

    *in reply to your comment* You don't know how tempted I was to turn up in the jeans and jacket! If it wasn't for my good ol' girly friend Leah who sent me out to buy heels, I don't think I would of worn the dress. :} Haha.

  13. Hot boots! I'm 5'1" and 3/4ths of an inch without shoes on lol, and when I wear my boots (not the same ones you have), I'm almost as tall as my friends at 5'5" haha. Lurking through your comments, it looks like you have a lot of other short visitors :p.

    Aww I'm sure you can come up with a good outfit in time for the concert. I use TheThingsIWant.com for my wishlist, but I don't buy too much since everything gets so expensive after currency conversions and shipping and such xD.

  14. I LOVE your boots!! I love anything with heels really, even though I'm super tall already, lol

    good luck with picking an outfit!

  15. WOW, the boots are amazing! They look well built too. I know how it feels to be short, I'm 5'1.

    Don't worry I'm sure you will come up with an amazing out fit!!! You always do. ;)

  16. I'm in love with those boots!
    I just deleted a whole paragraph here that sounded a bit perverted (it is about boots; don't worry).

    I hope to have enough money by winter to buy boots like these; only with a lower platform since I'm too tall.

    Sixty Nine days (probably less now) would be enough to pick an outfit, don't worry! ;)

  17. love your boots, dahlink!
    and you *always are dressed to kill in my book! i don't see why this GD concert would be any different!

  18. Those boots are pretty nice.

  19. Right now, I'm totally imagining you saying "what's the haps, chaps?" in a British accent. It's quite amusing.

    Anyways, those boots are pretty freaking awesome! Not exactly my style...but still awesome...not to mention that they look great on you! And add me to the "I'm short too" list. I'm 5'2"...good things come in small packages, etc. etc.

    And don't worry, you have plenty of time to figure out an amazing outfit. Like one of your other commenters said, you totally should post multiple outfits on here to get feedback...I'm always willing to help out when it comes to fashion! But I definitely know what you mean about just having so much choice...it really can be overwhelming.

  20. Hello there old chap! Fantastic boots!!! I'm short too :( Maybe I should get some.

  21. First of all... pickled carrots?! There's actually PICKLED carrots? O_o I know a lot of stuff can bee pickled but... carrots?! They don't taste good to begin with so I don't even dare to imagine what they must taste like pickled. lol sorry if I'm offending your taste in food now but carrots isn't exactly my favourite food. XD

    Your Demonia boots are absolutely fucking gorgeous! <3 They're hot hot hot, pretty, pretty, pretty and fucking fantastic x 3!

    I'm also 5,3 so I know what high shoes does! In my shoes with the highest heels it's like I'm in a different world. Everything is so far down and it fascinates me to think that's the way tall people see the world every day. But you know what, being short isn't all bad. It does mean that we can wear shoes with super high heels without becoming tall like giants!

  22. Those boots are sick! I'd love to be 5'8" as I am about 5'2" so we're in the same boat with shortness. High shoes just have a way of making one feel powerful and kickass. I should get myself a big pair of boots for when I teach the high school kids since most of them tower over me, haha.

    Also, here is a larger photo of the tree hijacked from my facebook. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/.../1274178_n.jpg

    Sorry for the obscenely long link!!

    Reply From Mallory:
    No worries, Christine! I edited the link for you. ^^;

  23. AMG, NICE BOOTS! I must get some form of shoes that make me look taller... Me and my three bestos are all roughly the same height - pretty smallish, about 5 foot 2 ish - and I want something to make me look TAAALL. I swear to god I used to be really tall but now I am short. Aw man, life ain't fair.

    And I know its aaaaaaages away, but your already planning your outfit, so i thought I may as well say.. HAVE FUN AT GREEN DAY! I am not going to Green Day this yeasr as I could not get tickets, I was kind of gutted at the time but now I'm not too bothered as I have tickets for one of my favourite bands ever - BIFFY CLYRO. ♥ They are fucking epic, you should give them a listen some time ;D But yeah, Green Day... my mum and wee sister are going (On Monday, I think?) and they should have fun. I am making them buy me a t-shirt. XD

    I love how you plan your outfits so way in advance - I am one of the most disorgainised people EVER, all my teachers say so. XD I am going to the beach on Tuesday, and Alton Towers (BIG THEME PARK :D) On Wednesday and I don't have ANYTHING orgainised. Money, time, outfit, bag.. Aaaaaaack. It ain't good.

  24. Malloryyyy! I haven't talked to you in so long. Which is totally my fault, and I apologize. I've been so busy with the end of school and stuff. All those tests. D: And I was trying to keep my grade steady, too. I had almost all A's, and I didn't want that to change in the last few weeks of school!

    Oh em gee, those boots are so cute. :') I'm glad you decided upon those ones, they really are amazing. How much were they? Was it out of your price range? I don't exactly remember all the details from that other blog, and I'm so lazy right now, I don't feel like looking. xD Shame on me, I really should start getting my act together. :p

    OH YES THE GREEN DAY CONCERT. I almost forgot! ALFJLSJOIDJFLKASJDF that's so exciting! I wish you could take me. :'( I'm also a Green Day fan, and I have been since I was about nine years old LOL. They have yet to bring me boredom. :') I also have trouble with deciding what clothes to wear to things like that. .-. It is a big decision! I mean, you're going to a GREEN DAY concert. You have to make it special, right? It's good that you're spending some time thinking about it, it shows your dedication. :D

    I hope you enjoyed my comment. :3 And I'm so sorry for not commenting as often. I feel like such a bad friend. *tear*

  25. Gak - now I have to start using "chaps" in daily conversation. It will make me happy to do so like eating chocolate flavored spaghetti.
