Minasan, suiyoubi omedetou*! ^x^

That's right, it's time for yet another mini lesson on how to greet others in Japanese! This time around, I've addressed you all with a rather sunny phrase that translates to 'Happy Wednesday, everyone!' in English.

If you'd like to use this greeting yourself --- But don't want to start showing off until you're sure of the correct pronunciation --- Then click here for a little guidance in the form of an MP3 file. ^_~

And remember, one of the best ways to memorise a phrase in a different language is to repeat it aloud multiple times, so suddenly becoming shy at the sound of your own voice is strictly prohibited! O_O

Now, I don't know about you guys, but I think I deserve a bit of a treat after that monumentally massive mental workout ... And what better way is there to treat oneself than with a great big heap of updates?

Bon appétit*, bitches!

One new link has been added to the Fantastic Online Stores page --- CollarFactory.Com! ^o^ Be sure to click on over to the updated page if you'd like to read a detailed description of this brilliant online store before visiting.

In the mood for a bit of a chortle? Then I suggest checking out the newly updated Family's Funny Quotes page, as one brand new quote has just been added. ^^

The Movies I Must See page received an update of about eight titles, including Alice In Wonderland, Legion, and Frozen ... Which I'm all very excited to see! *_*

The Wishlist page got a minor update, as I forgot to check off an item I received a couple weeks ago --- The Saw: Rebirth comic book that my good friend Kayleigh sent me as a Christmas present! ^o^

Last, and definitely least, ((Since I'm not even sure if this counts as an update,)) I deleted the SpongeBob SquareQuotes page from the Humour section, as it was hopelessly outdated, quotes wise, not to mention rather unpopular, aside from random people searching for specific SpongeBob quotes via Google. Plus, I felt slightly guilty, devoting an entire page to SpongeBob quotes, yet none to Family Guy, The PowerPuff Girls, The Listener, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, or any of my other favourite TV shows ... So into the rubbish bin it went!

And now that we've satisfied our craving for updates, let's kick back and relax with this week's blog segment, shall we? The first topic up for discussion --- Which conveniently fits in with all of these food metaphors I've been tossing about like a Caesar salad --- A Canadian cooking show that I recently discovered called 'The Main'. I'm in love with this show for three reasons.

One, because the dishes prepared on the show are something that people who don't have forty years of experience as a chef could actually recreate ... Which is basically unheard of when it comes to most cooking shows. Two, because it's Canadian. No further explanation is needed, as the fact that Canadians are awesome is already highly obvious. And three, because Anthony Sedlak, the host of The Main, is über hot. o_o

Okay, so number three might actually be the number one reason why I love this show. >_>; But before you start mentally filing me away next to Twihards, how about you take a look at ol' Anthony first.

Yeah, not so sure about branding me a fangirl now, are 'ya?! O_O No you are not, 'cause then you'd simultaneously be branding yourself a fangirl, as well --- And no one wants to be a fangirl.

I say this because I know for a fact that no woman --- Or man, for that matter --- On Earth could look at that guy and not instantly fall in love in one way or another. Quite the claim to make, I realise, but that simply shows how certain I am of Anthony's hotness. *_*

In all seriousness, if you're also Canadian, and you're interested in checking out Anthony's delicious dishes, ((I did not just almost type out 'delicious looks', I swear,)) Then be sure to tune in to the Food Network every day at either 9:30 AM or 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time ... Depending which time slot works better for you.

If you're not Canadian, then I'm afraid you're outta luck, as I'm not sure the show's aired in any other countries. T_T; You can try to watch the episodes that've been uploaded to FoodNetwork.Ca ... But I'm guessing you'll receive one of those highly annoying, 'Sorry, this video is not available in your region' error messages most sites are so fond of these days. -_-;

In this case, you can always check out the videos uploaded to Anthony's official site and/or FaceBook profile ... Or try your hand at a search on YouTube!

Now, if we're done drooling over Anthony Sedlak's, um, dishes ... Then I do believe it's time to move on! ^u^

In this next topic, I'm going to share my favourite lip glosses with you all! Not every single one, though, 'cause if I did that, there'd be a never ending list ... Considering the number of lip glosses in my makeup collection is well above fifty. o_o; Instead, I'm just going to share my top five favourites with you all ... Starting with number five!
Number Five
Number five would have to be Rimmel's Sweet Jelly Sheer Lipgloss tubes! These beauties would actually be higher on the list, if it wasn't for the fact that after you put the gloss on your lips, it seems to evaporate into thin air after about a half an hour or so ... Even if you're not eating or drinking anything! Despite this, though, I simply had to include them, because during the time this gloss is on your lips, it looks, feels, smells, and tastes absolutely divine! It's brilliantly shiny, it's isn't sticky whatsoever, the scents are delicious, and the taste, well ... The taste could actually double as another downside, as you have to exert tremendous amounts of self control not to constantly lick your lips. o_o; Pictured from left to right are Moreish and Jelly Baby.
Number Four
I'm gonna break the 'lipgloss' rule just a little with number four here, by featuring Revlon's Sugar Sugar Lip Topping ... Simply because I'd be lying if I didn't include this product in any top five list! This glittery, shimmery, sugary, frosty product is meant to be applied on top of lip balm, lipgloss, or lipstick --- In other words, as a 'topping', like the name implies. The only downside to this product is that, once again, it only lasts a little over a half hour before it seemingly evaporates into thin air. However, if you don't mind the occasional reapplication, then this product is definitely something I'd recommend to you! Pictured is Lemon Drop.
Number Three
Number three is another Rimmel product, but this time, its staying power is a lot more satisfactory! It's called Shock Gloss 3D Magnifying Lipgloss, and while it's not quite as 'shocking' or as '3D' as its name implies, ((Which is a bit of a ridiculous marketing ploy, anyway. I mean, how can something in real life be 3D? Real life already is 3D!)) It's still quite a bit than your average lip gloss. Plus, there's actually loads of colour packed into each application, which isn't something you'd expect from such a sheer looking gloss. It also feel wonderfully smooth on your lips, too --- No stickiness here! Pictured is Amp'ed.
Number Two
Number two are Sally Hansen's Comfort Shine Lip Glazes, and for once, what the name implies is actually true! You can use these on even the most chapped of lips, and they always provide instant relief. Not only that, they actually heal your lips if you leave them on for an extended period of time, as they all contain vita fruit complexes, multi vitamins, and antioxidants! And speaking of extended amounts of time, no reapplication's needed with this product --- Unless you're doing a lot of eating, drinking, or making out, it literally lasts for hours and hours on your lips! Plus, they all smell totally scrumptious, and come in both clear and glittery formulas. Pictured clockwise from the middle are Sweet Raspberry, Sugared Berry, Sugar Cookie, Cupcake, and Fresh Mixed Berry.
Number One

And number one in my list top five favourite lip glosses? Why, Bonne Bell's Lip Smackers, of course! *^^* Now, even though Lip Smackers are classified as lip balm, as opposed to lip gloss, the fact stands that they're my most favourite lip product in the entire world. In fact, I've loved these since I was about eight or nine, when my Mum started buying them for me in an effort to try and heal the severely chapped lips I had at the time. However, since I hated applying any sort of moisturising product to my skin when I was a kid --- Don't even get me started on how dry my hands always were --- They didn't really work for the use my Mum intended. For some reason, though, I was still completely in love with them, and I was always trying to add more to my collection. And as you might be able to tell from the vast number of Lip Smackers in the photo above, I suppose it was simply a phase I never grew out of! o_o; Nowadays, I probably wear Lip Smackers three hundred and sixty days out of a year, if only as a base coat for lipstick and/or lipgloss. Why do I love Lip Smackers so much, I hear you ask ...? Easy! They're great for moisturising your lips, they're surprisingly long lasting, they're very reasonably priced, and there's tonnes of different varieties to choose from! Pictured from left to right, ((Under the massive array of Lip Smackers lip balms which seems rather ridiculous to name one by one,)) Is a Coca Cola flavoured Liquid Lip Smacker, a Whipped Cream flavoured Smackers Lip Frosting, a Cotton Candy Biggy Lip Smacker, and a Cake Batter flavoured Smackers Ice Creamies lip gloss.

And now that you truly understand exactly how much of a blasted girly girl I am when it comes to makeup --- And males, for that matter --- I shall bid you adieu*.

... In a most shameful manner. ._.;

*English, Japanese and French all in a single entry?! Hmm ... ;Struck by sudden inspiration, she quickly adds in the 'fact' that she's 'multilingual' to her résumé.; There! ^_^ You guys'll vouch for me, right? o_o ... Right?! Aw, c'mon! T_T;

Mallory

  1. I can look at him and not find him attracted. I can look at any man and not find them attracted, except Brad Pitt, for some reason I'm not necessarily attracted to him, he just intrigues me.

  2. I admit Anthony's hot, and if that makes me a fangirl, then that's alright. As long as I can love him ;D I love having a lovely long blog to read on here; it distracts me from my stupid life for a while (i.e. revising for the Geoggers exam I have tomorrow ;D). I'll have you know I've posted an extremely long blog about the gig I went to in Hitchin on Tuesday, so hopefully you'll have a look and be similarly distracted. There are lots of hilarious pictures of me with the guys, hmmm!! And they all look HOT AS FUCKING HELL!! Woah. Over-the-top as usual.

Hahahaa, your lipgloss collection is impressive!! I don't really wear gloss; I'm more of a balm person. So I like Lip Smackers products, also love Chapstick Flava Craze and the cherry lip balm I stole from Claires once. I do have one lipgloss though that is bright fucking red and burns like a bitch cause it plumps your lips up (not that my fat lips need it XD)

Anywhore, nice to see you updating again; we should have a chat sometime soon. Miss you quite a fair bit, lass.

    K xx

  3. I agree, that guy is rather hot! Another chef that used to be hot is Jamie Oliver. Now he looks kinda old though.

Oh my, over fifty different lip glosses?! O_o I only have five! My favourite is Lancome's Juicy Tubes. It's shiny, smells lovely and lasts for hours.

Thank you for your long and sweet comment on my new layout! :) I'm glad you like it! That idea about adding a half burned candle somewhere is great! I'm currently looking for photos of wall candle holders, thinking I might add one on each side of the header. Why didn't I think of that? It's a great idea! Thanks for the tip! :D

  4. He's definitely hot! And what better than a hot guy who can cook? :)

I typically use Carmex for my lips, I have these no-name brand lipglosses that work quite well I must say but that's only if I apply chapstick or lip balm first. I totally love lip smackers and I definitely have to try out some of those Sally Hansen's Comfort Shine Lip Glazes. Judging by your description, they seem very worthwhile.

  5. you are adorable as always ^__^
you can enjoy a television programme for it's hot host all you want. that's the main reason why i watch Dollhouse, yanno. mmm Eliza Dushku. and i remember a few years ago being surprised to learn that MY FATHER liked to watch Charmed because he though the 3 lead actresses were pretty. O.o
you need to get crackin gon that movie list, STAT! got some good ones in there. a few of my faves on it were Stardust, Adventureland and Superbad. there were other goodies, too, but those are the ones that i saw and was all "OH!" so, yeah. also, there was a Saw movie on it. ther is a Saw movie you haven't seen?? WTF?

  6. I'm always tired when I write comments. xD Whenever I find time to do them is time when I should be sleeping. :P

OMG, cemeteries creep me out. I only go to them when someone I knew and loved has passed away, so I've really only been to one once in my whole life.

Aww, thank you. I just think that when I write blogs when I have nothing to say = sucks. LOL.

I'm kinda glad the referee helped them since obviously they were no good. xD

Sorry my comment is not too meaningful, I'm secretly on the computer right now, as I actually should be sleeping. So I oughta go now before I get caught. Ciao~!

  7. CAN YOU SAY HOTTIE?!?!?!?! That guy is gorgeousssss!!! I think I'll join you and be a fangirl myself, want to start stalking him with me?! :D:D

No but seriously, he is rather sort of a bit amazingly hot...

I don't own one lip gloss!!! Every lip gloss I've ever tried annoys me or comes off when I eat anyway because I eat constantly with 20 second intervals. I do love Carmex lip balm though! It smells sooo good.

  8. I basically never watch cooking shows, but I agree that Anthony guy is hotness. If more cooks were hot more people would probably watch cooking shows. I also agree that NO ONE wants to be a fan girl. There are very little terms that bug when more then fan girl. I don't use a lot of lip gloss, but number one and three seems pretty cool.

In regards to your comment on my blog. It's all cool. Everyone likes what they like, and I'm probably to lazy to do it anyway. If I did add more inspirational stuff it would be tied into my personal stuff. I think the best way to inspire is by telling a story.

  9. Lip smackers are DELICIOUS. As is Anthony Sedlak. Mmmmmmmm. BY the WAY, I'm still very very very impatiently awaiting your new layout. HURRY UP WOMAN. I just have a feeling it's going to be epic. & I can't wait.

Anyway, remember when you said you thought you were in a winter rut? Well, my latest post on my NEW blog is inspired by you. ^_^ sooo go check it out. (I linked right to it when leaving this comment in case I post again by the time you read it.)

    xox!

  10. Number 3 sounds good to me, I'd love an opaque (yet still a little sheer) red lip gloss plus I love Rimmel products. Their eyeliner is great. I put it on my waterline and it actually stuck around for quite a while.

I'd watch that cooking show just watch a hot guy cook, no shame in that. I'd probably end up having some sort of naughty food dreams about him after a while though. Don't judge me! :D

  11. LOL well it's only natural... at least it's not just my mother. :) I know I'm definitely not ready to live on my own at all, though.

Ahahah Anthony doesn't look a lot like "my type", if you'd say... but definitely good-looking! I laughed at the fact that you nearly typed 'delicious looks'. XD I am not really into cooking, admittedly, so I don't really watch any cooking shows.

I hate when I really really want to watch a YouTube video, but I'm hit with that stupid note about not being in the right country. WTFAGE?

Those jelly sheer lipglosses, number five on your list... sound very delicious. I hate lip glosses that are so glossy and wonderful, but sticky, and have no TASTE. It really bugs me. I cannot stand sticky lip gloss - what kind of gloss is that? I mean, you hear the shit they say about sticky kisses. I've been on the hunt for a good lip gloss that tastes great and isn't sticky.

Despite that, I don't really wear lip gloss often anymore, I'm too lazy to find a good one out there.

    I have to agree that Bonne Bell lip Smackers are the bomb though. Their variety is crazy! And they're pretty tasty... well, some of them. I get chapped lips a lot, so lip balm is more my thing. ^^;

  12. Ah Lip Smackers are awesome! I'm wearing a Skittles Lime one at the moment. :3 I love love love them!

I like reading your product reviews. I'm always tempted to buy the things you like. x)

I'm looking forward to seeing Alice in Wonderland too~

  13. Darn, you are obsessed with lip products! MEH TOO!!!!!!!! :D

  14. The blog entry was only because there was a new layout. XD I feel that, as such a big occasion, there should be an accompanying blog. ;)

Yes, it is true. I am cheap and like to stick with the classics, so I use MS Paint. XD I don't see why it would be any easier using a different program... but thanks for the compliment. ^_^

I don't know why you can't, either! They show up fine for me. :( Maybe the issue will just resolve itself. lol.

I liked the Spongebob quotes. I like the old Spongebob. :D

...Attractive? Yes. In love? NO. I'm sorry, but your assertion fails. ^_^

I love Lip Smackers! I use chapstick all the time--I'm addicted to it--but I don't have any right now. Everybody's bought me these other brands that aren't as good. -_-

  15. Haven't forgotten babe just real busy. Will add you I promise :)

    xoxo

    Nicki

  16. Those lip glosses are awesome!! I still love lip smackers and all of the flavors. They remind me of being in elementary school and trading them with my friends. And good story about the Friends guy and seeing him. It made me LOL!!

  17. It IS so hard to make time for new TV shows. I really want to start watch Dexter, about the serial killer who is sorta good, but I have no clue when to start, because I have so much else to do.

Oooh, Anthony does look good. He's on a cooking show? Do I dare call him "yummy?" XD I'm not sure haha. What channel is the show on?

Lip Smackers!I used to buy them all the time!I even have a huge tin of them :D I love the ones with interesting flavors.

  18. Oh, I love lip gloss. It tastes so good. And am now perving at Anthony chef-guy and am British so cannot watch him.

    Hmmmm.

  19. Ahh I lovee cooking shows :) but I'm afraid... not only have I heard of that song but I don't think that man is that great looking... He's not baaaaad.... but nothing special xP
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder :)

I love lipgloss ^_^ But I don't have any special types/favourites... I just pick up different ones from shops and wear them xP

  20. Wow. Loads of updates here. How do you find the time to manage all that?

Dissecting human eyeballs would be awesome. But then gross at the same time because you actually know what the hell your eyeball really looks like if you popped it out of your head and put it on a tray. Haha.

Cool. I guess extra curricular classes and clubs is a way to go to meet people. You get home schooled by your parents? And do you do the regular 9 - 3 hours? If you don't, I envy you. Heh.

  21. Japanese is an awesome language. I just wished they didn't have three sets of character to memorise and learn. ARGH. On the other hand, Korean's simpler, but their spelling is so confusing! ~_~;; And if I compared the two, there are a lot of similarities in the two languages . . . despite its obvious differences. Luckily, I already know Korean, so pronouncing stuff in Japanese isn't a chore for me :)

And that guy is hot. Really. He has a lovely facial structure.

  22. Lip gloss = love.

I'm sad to say, though, that I didn't fall in love with Mr. TV-show there. Sure, he's got really nice features, but I sense no magic. Oh well, it's good that not everyone has the same taste, isn't it? ^_^V

  23. I've never been interested in those cooking TV shows really, the most I can make is Micro-Pizza... which I STILL manage to burn even if it is microwavable... ^^; Don't ask why, because I don't know. I'm just not naturally a cooky kinda person. My cooking teacher in 1st and 2nd year at school hated me.. The only way I got through it was by pretending that her head was IN the mixing bowl, it made mixing a whole lot easier XD

BUT YES. THAT ANTHONY DUDE IS YUMMY.
    No pun intended... ^_^

WOWW. I bought that Rimmel 3D shiz on Sunday! XD That exact shade, too. :3 I've not tried the other lip glosses, except from LIP SMACKERS! :D

I love them too, although I don't have nearly as much as you do! XD I just have Fanta orange, Coca Cola, Coca Cola Vanilla and another Coca Cola more glossy one. :P

LOL, I JUST REALISED I DON'T EVEN LIKE COCA COLA. XD Oh well, I still do enjoy it on my lips. :P

I don't know why, but that sentance sounded weird in a way. I don't know why. THIS IS BUGGING ME. XD

  24. D: Thanks for letting me know about the banner image. I re-uploaded it onto my own server, so hopefully it should be fine now :)

WHAT?! HE'S A CHEF? O_O How can he look so good and be so good at cooking. I can understand why you love watching that show now. No further explanation needed after seeing that photo :P

Oh, I think my favourite lip gloss would have to be the Lancome Juicy Tubes :D Very moisturising indeed.

hmm I think I'll try Sally Hansen next time I see it at the shops :)

Omg, I used to have like a dozen lip smackers O.O They smelt so nice :) I had this glitter one, but I don't think that it really worked for me because I just to get smudged all over my face. Whoops. XD

  25. Hi Mallory! Thanks so much for your comment. :) And I figured it was you on my Formspring... I could tell! :P

Today I felt a little upset about what happened, and I actually attempted to ask her why she wasn't talking to me. Obviously, she ignored me. I shouldn't bother at all - I've given her a chance and I cannot trust someone who has been lying and deceitful. I don't know why I let it get to me.

It's pretty pathetic, considering she has other friends online. Besides, she was the one who wanted to meet me. U_U

LOL I'm guessing so. My mum used to be very protective about what I did on the internet - now that I'm older she knows I'm responsible. At least she trusts my boyfriend to be a good bodyguard late at night... LMAO.
