22 July 2010
FFS, I can't believe it's been over a month since I last posted an Updates/Blog entry here on mallorymaloney.com! v_V;
I really shouldn't be surprised with myself, though ... Every summer it's the same thing: I fully intend to regularly post an entry, and yet the days between said entries become further and further apart, and the 'edits' become more and more frequent, until, eventually, even those slow to a trickle, as well ... And then there's large gaps of a month or more without so much as a single peep from me letting all of my visitors know that everything's cool! x_X;
Thankfully, though, I haven't allowed it to escalate to that point this year --- Yet, anyway. e_e; I wouldn't be surprised if it happens sometime before the summer's over ... But enough of my negative bullshit! >_<; Instead, let's check out the updates and then the blog topics that have built up over these last few weeks. ^x^
Four new Affies have been added to the Affiliates page: Amanda, Christine, Danielle, and Mike! All four of these lovely people applied for Affiliation many weeks ago, but I only got 'round to adding them to the page recently ... So be sure to help me make it up to them by adding to their unique visitor count! ^_~
One new idea's been added to the Site Name/Username Ideas page: Hammer Smashed! I don't normally add a single idea to the page and call it an update, but this particular idea came to me out of nowhere, and I wanted to tack it onto the page before I completely forgot it. ^^;
Four new quotes have been added to the Family's Funny Quotes page, ((Including yet another sharply dim witted quote from yours truly,)) Which you all need to check out as soon as possible, purely because reading them will bring much joviality and merriment into your life.
An embarrassingly large amount of items were checked off of my Wishlist page, due to the fact that I recently received at least three different large summed tax cheques from the government. Sure, they're just sending me back the money that I should've been able to keep in the first place, but it's difficult to remember something so cynical when your bank account's brimming.
... Well, my bank account was brimming, anyway. >_>; After I bought so many things I've been wishing after for so long, it's kinda dried up now, heh. x_o; I don't regret spending a single penny of it, though, because everything I bought was totally worth it! *^^*
For example, I was picking up some foodly staples at a Canadian discount store called Giant Tiger a few weeks ago, and I happened to stumble across the fact that they were selling a limited stock of authentic Converse Chuck Taylors --- For only $49.00 a pair! O_O;
I, of course, had to purchase a pair for myself, considering I've wanted real Chucks for years ... But never could justify spending upwards of $80.00 on them, considering I could literally get eight pairs of knock off Chucks for virtually the same price. e_e;
What I didn't realise, though, is that authentic Chucks are approximately seventeen thousand times more comfortable than the ten dollar knock offs ... A fact which made it extremely easy for me to shell out $80.00 a few weeks later to buy yet another authentic pair of Chucks, this time from an online shoe store called Baggins Shoes. Now, I can clearly hear everyone's unspoken mental confusion over this fact already, so let me ease your minds by quickly explaining.
I'm sure you all remember last month's post, in which I excitedly showed off the Demonia platform boots I had purchased online to wear to the upcoming Green Day concert I'm going to be attending. Unfortunately, it turns out that I'm not going to be wearing the boots to the concert, after all.
I learnt this the hard way, after wearing them for nearly twelve hours on 1 July 2010, AKA Canada Day. I walked out the door wearing the boots around 11:30 AM, ((Along with the same top and skirt I wore to a dentist appointment way back in April,)) And I didn't take them off until almost 11:00 PM, when I came home after a long day of parade watching, junk food eating, vendor browsing, live alternative music appreciating, and fireworks admiring.
Before anyone jumps to conclusions, the reason I've decided not to wear the boots isn't because they're terribly uncomfortable or anything --- Because they're most certainly not! Granted, they're a little ouchy on the big toes, but that's simply a matter of breaking the boots in a little more. No, the reason I've decided not to wear them is because that when I have them on, I'm pretty much immobile.
I can stand without any problems whatsoever, and I can walk at a slow to moderate pace without too much trouble, but that's where the list of what I can do wearing them ends. The list of what can't do is considerably longer. For example, I can't walk quickly in them. I can't run in them. I can't jump in them. And if someone were to give me a push whilst I was wearing them, I'd most certainly topple all the way to the ground.
In other words, they're not really practical for a Green Day concert. e_e;
After accepting the fact that I had been rendered immobile for the entirety of Canada Day, I came to the conclusion that I was gonna need a new pair of shoes to wear to the concert --- Stat. I decided that a pair of black monochrome Chucks would be perfect, as they're totally all over black, from the rubber bottoms to the 'All Star' patch on the ankles, and so I headed over to Giant Tiger a few days later to grab a pair, having seen them in stock when I had bought my other pair.
They didn't have any left in my size.
No problem! I thought to myself. I'll just go to the shoe store downtown and see if they have my size there. And, delightfully, they did! The only problem was, they didn't have any of the black monochrome style --- Only the standard black and white style.
I raged to the moon and back.
Upon coming home empty handed, I suddenly had another idea: Why not just buy a pair of black monochrome Chucks from an online store? After all, I knew exactly what size I took, ((A five and a half in men's, in case you were absolutely dying to know,)) So all I had to do, really, was find an online store that was both reasonably cheap, accepted money orders as a method of payment, and were hopefully located in Canada, just so I wouldn't have to worry about the shoes arriving late or anything.
And this is where Baggins Shoes came in! *o* I discovered their site via Google almost instantly, and I was ready to order in an equally instantaneous span of time --- Not just because they were located in Canada, accepted money orders as payment, and their prices were the cheapest I could find online ... But also because they have hundreds of different Converse styles and sizes constantly in stock!
So, needless to say, I purchased a pair of monochromes, sent off the money order, and received 'em in the mail just yesterday! But that's not the only thing I received in the mail recently --- I also got the top and skirt for the Green Day concert that Amber helped me purchase online last month! >w<;
And yes, I know that ninety nine percent of my visitors consider pictures a must, so I went to the trouble yesterday to take some photos of my entire Green Day concert outfit, black monochrome Chucks and all!
... Well, minus my fishnets, because I was too lazy to put 'em on. e_e; And, obviously, on the day of the concert, I'm going to straighten and tease the shit outta my hair, as opposed to letting it hang limply in my face, but again, I was way too lazy to bother. So keep these disclaimers in mind when 'ya to click on the thumbnails below to see both a front and back view of the outfit! @_@;
Pretty fucking stellar, right?! I was so freakin' happy when I tried the skirt on for the first time and realised that it fit like an absolute dream, because, as you guys may remember, I was worried that it would be way too small for my hips and booty. >_>; Luckily, though, I was wrong!
As for the top --- Or rather, the two tops, as the mesh tee on top isn't attached to the cotton tank underneath --- It fits almost as perfectly as the skirt. Granted, the tank is slightly slimmer fitting than I would've liked, and the mesh tee is a bit looser than I imagined, but it's all good, 'cause I figured out a way to cinch the mesh tee by crossing the two long straps attached to the front around my back in an 'X' formation and then reattaching them to the opposite D rings located at the sides! I was pretty excited about that, haha, because I wasn't sure if I wanted to wear the mesh top at first, due to how baggy it looked uncinched. ^^;
Another awesome thing I'm wearing in the two photos above are two pairs of Sock It To Me socks I bought online way back in May! I never mentioned the purchase on mallorymaloney.com until now 'cause I only them to replace the black and white striped and black and red striped knee highs I've had since I was about sixteen years old ... But in the end, I was seriously glad I decided to buy them as replacements for my old faded ones, because otherwise, I'd have to wear said old faded ones with my brand new Green Day concert outfit. Whew! #_#;
Originally I planned to wear a pair of black and red striped thigh highs I bought off eBay, which I mentioned back in June --- But since I'm not going to be wearing my Demonia boots to the concert anymore, and since I dislike the look of thigh highs unless they're paired with a knee high boot, it's a good thing I bought the Sock It To Me socks, as well!
Another awesome thing about my Green Day concert outfit is the fact that the tank that's worn underneath the mesh tee is totally covered in botched English phrases, such as:
'DEVIL PUNKS'
'*SNIFFIN' GLUE ...'
'Mark P's the editior Steve Mick's a writer, one'
'And if you don't like the mag, it up you arse.'
'Also, sticking things'
And other magnificent Engrish gems, all of which can be seen by clicking the two thumbnails below to view a couple of photos I took of the front and back of the tank in full size. >w<
Continuing along with the Green Day discussion vein, I have a few more things to share! One of them is the fact that the same Green Day concert I keep rambling on about is now only twenty seven days away, which I find absolutely exhilarating, considering that I've been counting down the days since there were one hundred and eighty, haha! *_*;
Another is a short story about a can of energy drink that I bought the other day. No, I haven't started consuming caffeine again, ((Not a fucking chance, I'd rather use cocaine then get back on that shit,)) But this particular can of energy drink was simply too awesome to pass up --- Purely because it featured Green Day on the front, ROTFL.
I wanted a slushie one disgustingly hot afternoon, but since the convenience store basically next door to my place doesn't sell them, I decided to hit one I don't normally visit, instead. Since I wasn't totally familiar with this new store's layout, I circled around the entire perimeter, looking for the slushie machine, when I suddenly spotted it: An entire row of Full Throttle energy drinks with Green Day on the front of them.
I instantly grabbed one to buy, ((Along with the slushie I had wanted, after realising that I had passed the machine without noticing it on my way in,)) And as soon as I got home, I immediately brought the can to the sink, placed a towel over it, punched two evenly spaced holes in the bottom of the can's rim with a sharp nail and a hammer, and then drained the entire thing out into a massive beer mug. ((I wanted to drain the entire thing right down the drain, but alas, I've never been able to justify throwing out perfectly good food or drink ... Even the caffeine loaded kind.))
When I was done that, I rinsed out and dried the can out, and I was left with an empty can that looked totally untouched, as if it were still full --- Perfect for displaying on top of the shelving unit in my room, bwahaha. >w<; Click the thumbnail below to view a full size photo of the very striking Full Throttle can in full size!
And the last Green Day related tidbit I wanted to share was the fact that I was recently featured in a fan made music video created to go along with a fan made Green Day medley! ^o^
If you follow me on Twitter, you may recall me mentioning the fact that I had spent three hours recording footage for said music video back in June --- But the video wasn't fully completed until just last week! Now that it's up, though, go ahead and check it out over on YouTube by clicking on the thumbnail below ... And lemme know what you think of the music video after you've watched it! ^_~ ((And no glossing over it, or you'll miss the three short times I'm featured! =_=))
And before I end this entry, there's one more ((Non Green Day)) Topic I wanted to mention: My birthday! 29 July, in exactly seven days, which is, of course, splendid, but there's something decidedly unsplendid about this fact, as well: My birthday falls on a Thursday.
That's right, the very day that a new Updates/Blog entry is usually posted. x_X; Obviously, I don't fancy the idea of typing away in front of my computer for my entire birthday, so obviously, there's not going to be a new entry until the beginning of the next month --- 5 August, to be exact. +_+;
I hate to do this to you guys yet again, but I'd like to think I'm kinda making it up to you all by posting such a massive entry today. Hopefully you guys think so, too. x_x; If not, though, then feel free to not wish me a happy birthday when you comment! Tit for tat, yeah? ^_^
... Wait! I changed my mind. Please don't omit any birthday wishes from your comment! T_T;

Well, I'll start off by wishing you a very happy early birthday! Looks like this is the month where awesomeness was born (as I myself was born on the 14th of this month... hahaha)
Secondly, I LOVE your outfit for the concert. I'm glad you decided against the boots, as cool as they are. That really would be uncomfortable after a while at a concert. Chucks are a lot easier to move in... besides, (correct me if i'm wrong) but doesn't the band wear Chucks a lot of the time too? :D
And lastly... thank you so very much for not deleting me off of your list for being such a horrid affiliate. I'm back up and running now so I plan to get everything back into shape in time for the fall semester. Woohoo!
Argh! I know what you mean about summertime. I don't know if you've noticed, but my blogs have been fewer lately, because I've just been so busy and haven't really had much to blog about at the same time. Bad salad!! But hey, here we both are, alive and well, so s'all gud homie brap brap init blud.
I love randomly getting money; on a smaller scale, I got a random tenner in my bank the other day and bought Young Guns' album 'All Our Kings Are Dead' with it!! How good is that?? I was sooo happy when I saw their album in HMV. I cried. AGAIN. Aaaaanyway, enough shameless plugging of my boiz, onward!!
CHUCKS COST $80!?!! I guess that's about right, with the exchange rate etc. They only cost from about £25--50 'round here, but I guess you got a bargain! I'm just surprised that you never had a pair of real Converse.. I don't know what made me think you DID have, you just seemed like someone who would DEFINITELY have a real pair. I have like.. Four, five pairs of them? I'm on my second pair of classic blacks though cause alas.. My old ones fell to pieces :(
AHHHH PICTUREZZZZ!!111!!!!!!11!!1one!!!11! You know how much I love to perv over-- I mean, wank over-- I mean, ADMIRE YOUR PHOTOS. Yeah. Sure. That one. And I must say, that outfit is looking most splendiferous!! Nice word, huh? ;D It's better than splendid, and sounds nicer than stupendous. LOL the famous D-rings!! I was amused at your Tweets about them, cause I can never figure those fuckers out either! I like that you always give a COMPLETE lowdown on your outfit, rather than just saying where a few of the items are from. This makes me happy as I *could*, in theory, copy your style completely. Not that I will, I am too much of an elitist twat who thinks I am sewwww unique XD You're more unique than me, never forget that. I fit in more and more these days, how much does that suck bum?
I'm English. Do you love me like you love your top's slogans? ;D
FUCKING A CHRIST!! Green Day is that close!?!! WOWWW, and AFI are supporting right? Ho-ly SHITsauce!! Hang around outside the back for two hours!! XD You might meet them, unless GD decide they're going to go everywhere by helicopter again *mutters darkly about prima donnas* I jest, I jest.. I the o2 arena is a dickhead venue to get to, I doubt they had much choice if they didn't wanna be absolutely mobbed. Anyyyywaaayyy.. My next gig is in a WEEK!! I'm seeing my Willie 'Trol again!! And Nick Wiggins will be there, and my Dave West and Crispy Hair who was at GOTK.. Wow. It's gonna be a bloodbath, I can't wait!! And I'm going Goth sailor girl pin-up for it, so you'll have some AWESOME pics to look forward to ;D
Ahh we never get cool energy drink cans like that!! Granted, the Monster can is always going to be close to my heart because of all the good and bad times we've been through together, and the No Fear resealable is a bit bangin', but I've never seen a can of drink with a BAND on the front!! And how amazing that it just happened to be your FAVOURITE band too!! Unreal!!
You were SO the coolest person in that vid!! No offence, but the rest of them looked pretty plain and er.. Lame. Not really worthy of GREEN DAY!! But you made it sooo fucking cool, I loved your little parts in the video. You'll be famous yet, my lovey!
Um, well happy birthday for the 29th my dear; I do hope you have an absolutely fantastic day!! I must say now that your birthday present will come very very late :( Because I haven't found anything nice enough to get you along with your massive Green Day poster... And I haven't managed to produce a good enough card yet so.. Yeah, I'm tardy and I'm a rubbish friend. Lack of funds and lack of health/time lately my love. It'll be more fun to get another gift waaay after your birthday anyway ;D
LOVEEEEE as always!
-- Kayleigh
Also, I think I've gone mad. I just sat here, yelling, "ZEP.. YOU PERVERTED LITTLE PSYCHOPATH! I'M GONNA TAKE GREAT PLEASURE.. IN MAKING YOU PAY FOR THIS!! YOU BASHTARD FUCK!!" in a really stupid voice. Now I'm laughing far too much cause I'm remembering Cary Elwes cutting his foot off <3 Ahhh SAW. I must watch that now!
Ahh I wish I could buy some new stuff. I've been quite lazy with shopping recently, and I feel like everything I want is too expensive and everything I can afford, I don't want. Ahhh. But it is an excitement to get new stuff in the mail, and especially seeing that it's somewhat what you were expecting and that it fits ^_^.
I got my black & what chucks for $50 USD. I love them. I ripped them up exactly how I like them haha. I think that my boots are rather hard to walk in too; I'd never wear them to a long event again. I wore them to the county fair once, and my pinky toe bent over the toe next to it. It was such a pain xD. But I do love those boots.
Happy early birthday! :3.
That really sucks that you won't be able to wear those damn sexy boots to the Green Day concert. I can't walk much in boots either. Or in high heels. Or in anything that makes me over two inches taller.
But you still have a HOT outfit. I loooove the skirt. The pattern on it is my favorite.
The Green Day can looks sweet. Of course you'd buy it. ;) I would definitely do that same if one of my favorite bands' pictures was on it.
Now there are only SIX days left until your birthday. :D
I'm the same way as you when it comes to blogging. I have full intentions on writing on a daily basis ... if not on a weekly basis at least! The sure enough, without fail, I end up with weeks and weeks that have passed without a single entry. It's pitiful on my part. It's not like I'm doing anything. Maybe it's simply that I don't feel as though I have anything to write about.
I love that you still do affiliates. I envy it in you actually. In fact, I envy a lot of what you do here on your blog. Sure you only have weekly updates but you have a shit ton of visitors. Why do you have so many I used to ask myself, then I realized. 1.) Mallory is awesome, Nikkole. Face it, she is. 2.) Because SHE RESPONDS to people.
Fuck. I suck when it comes to responding to comments and/or reading others blogs. Sometimes I think to myself that its extremely self-centered of me to expect people to read me but not read them. I then realize, Nikkole, you have kids and too much to do with your time. You can hardly keep up on your own life, your own blog, let alone others. So what does this mean? I'm supposed to suck. *shrugs* I do my best.
Moving on...
I've never looked at your Site Name/Username Ideas page. I'm going to have to take a gander at that because I'm in searches of a new domain name (EA is staying - I want to get a secondary blog to make public for family and friends to see.) I could do http://www.nikkolebuczek.com ... but that doesn't have as cool of a ring as mallorymaloney, ya know?
Yay for checking off items on your wishlist! That reminds me, I must do the same very soon too.
That sucks balls about your boots and the inability to wear them at the Green Day concert. They're so super cute. I'd understand where you're coming from tho. You can't be immobile when it comes to concerts!
I love the outfit *as I always do*. It's gorgeous and like I said previously I am totally jealous of your ability to wear that kinda stuff. I wish I could, that's for sure. My weight, and ... well, I got kids, dude, are the biggest factors as to why I can't. Oh well, maybe in my next lifetime.
Happy Early Birthday babe. I always remember it because its the day before mine... okay I didn't remember it but I did remember once you wrote about it. Man, I'm such a shitty friend. =/
I hope you have a great birthday babe. Especially have a great concert - I don't know if I'll comment by the time that happens so I'm just covering my bases here.
It's not that I'm any less alternative, it's just that I can never be fucked to make an effort anymore :( I haven't had the motivation since my depression reared it's ugly head, ugly being the operative word. I'll be restored to full alt-goodness soon though, when my hair starts resembling something awesome.. Which it kinda is today, now I''ve styled it. It looks like my old hair, but shorter, so it's only a matter of time til my old AMAZING style comes back! <3
You are so adorable! The outfit looks stunning on you and i'm so glad you managed to find a solution to the oversized mesh top. Too bad about the boots, though. I'm the same way with my stripper heels. They look so good with my outfit for my concert in September but, alas, I can barely walk in them decently enough.
I'm a horrible excuse for a girl considering how much I truly love shoes. :3
Happy early Birthday, my dear! Hope you have a wonderful day and spend plenty of time with friends and family.
Bonne fete mon amie. Bonne fete mon amie. Bonne fete Mallory! Bonne fete mon amie! :D
Thanks for the compliments. :D
Getting free insulin... it's just that way in Canada. Gordon actually wants to move to Canada because of the health insurance, but I'm quite attached to my family and friends and get homesick really easily/quickly, although it wouldn't happen for at least two years anyway and hopefully I can get health insurance by then.
I know, though, right? I will fucking DIE without my insulin, and I need blood strips, too, so I should be able to get those for free. It makes me so MAD, especially since I'm too poor to afford insurance which is the whole reason I was on the insurance I had before but I lost it because I turned 19 and wasn't pregnant and didn't have a dependent child. My boyfriend posted a comment on a forum or on some related article on Digg about that, and someone replied with, "Guess you know what you have to do," which is kind of funny but actually just really sad. :( Anyway, it's looking to be complicated to pick it up from the doctor's office in the first place, because when I called them I was transferred to one place, and then they told me that was the wrong place and gave me the number to where I needed to call but they didn't think it was there yet anyway. x_x
----
$49/pair is a regular price for those here... or at least, it was. I can't find any of those old-fashioned kinds anymore, but the only $80 ones I've seen are the fancy ones covered in like sequins or whatever (no, seriously).
I can't think of a legitimately interesting comment to say about your Green Day clothes and such, but I promise I read it and I'm glad you've seemed to fix any and all problems and that you're so excited. :) When is this concert, again?
Happy early birthday! :)
The outfit looks great. :D
Happy birthday - well, early birthday. I don't know why you wouldn't blog on your birthday though. It takes me about 30 minutes to type a blog, maybe up to an hour if I'm stuck on a topic really. I type pretty fast so I have no problems with anything there.
Then again I blog every two days and things get pretty consistent for me. It's out of habit.. I just couldn't imagine the habit you've got because you blog less often than I do!
I'm sure you'll have loads to talk about in your next entry though, especially in relation to your birthday.
I have one pair of Chucks. I wanted more, but one pair is fine. I don't wear them all that much anymore... I ought to. I just sort of hopped out of that phase, and instead resorted for killer black boots. I do like sneakers though, don't get me wrong. :B
My brother collects cans from soft drink. It's strange. He just takes the tab off the top to reveal a small hole. He drinks from that then keeps the can. :3
James actually cuts around the edge of the rim, and using plaster, puts a small container inside the can, making a screwable lid out of the top of the can, and it becomes a little hiding place for money and other things. I ought to show you some time... it's just like one of those things that people have to keep things in. :P
Thanks. xD
I checked out your list of recommended books. Ghost Cat sounds odd but really interesting. And you have a lot of Stephen King books. :D He's an amazing writer.
Black animals are so pretty. I like them better than those who have different colors or patterns. I don't know. It's just that black fur or feathers or fuzz looks cleaner and shinier.
yep, that outfit is bazzin' alright! mallory has done it again! i love how the shirt looks like a "normal" grunge-punk shirt at a glance but the writing on it is utter nonsense if you actually read the thing. fantastic. too bad about the boots, but you STILL look utter fabs. also, i must comment as to how your outfit matches your green day posters in the background ;-P you're EXTRA coordinated!
that video is super neat! i dig how it's all of these fans from all over the world! how cool is THAT? the one thing i didnt like was that transition between the first two songs was a bad fade-out :-( the other transitions were MUCH better, though. and youre super adorable in it, of course :-D
Ha I love clothing with little things on them that you have to look at closely to notice (and the spider in the eyeball!!). The outfit is overall win.
I missed your updates!! Glad to see you're back and blogging. Also, happy early birthday, hope you enjoy it!! =] The sneakers look awesome with your outfit, by the way. I think that the sneakers are much more practical since people always get all wild at concerts and you want to be able to move and jump around too.
Thank you also for commenting and offering up some tips. Love it!! =] I liked the video as well. I enjoyed the fact that you skipped away from the camera afterwards, teehee!!
I did actually know that we share our birthday the 29th of July. :D I don't remember when but I've read it in one of your blog posts or something. I had forgot all about it until now though. This is freaky, we both have our birthday on the 29th of July, we're the same height and apparently we also have the same shoe size! My size is 5,5 as well! O_O Many similarities here!
I understand why you don't want to wear your Demonia boots to the concert. I don't own any Demonia boots but I do own a pair of platform boots (http://www.whirlwind.nu/images/journal_100701_2.jpg) which makes me rather immobile too. I can't run or walk fast in those babies. I don't think I'd tip over if someone pushed me though. They're not that tall. :)
I think the all black chucks fits perfectly with your gorgeous clothes. The clothes looks even better on you than in the photos you posted of just the clothes before you had received them. :D
It is a shame real converse are so expensive. I have four real pairs but if I could afford it I'd have at least ten. It's not possible to have too many pairs of converse!
I loved the collab vid! And you got to finish it! :D Cool!
Hello love! I must admit, I admire your keenness in blogging! Yours are always so interesting and humoured. By golly, I proofread my blog posts all the time but not quite to the extent that you do. :O I am sure you wouldn't want to waste your birthday on simply a blog!
I'll admit that I love using emoticons, but when it comes to blogging I try not to use too many, of course. I feel strange when I can't fit in a proper emoticon anywhere. XD
My mum bothers me a fair bit and sometimes I have to do chores when she's home, which leaves little time for returning comments... which I do get a lot of. I make plans when she's off at work, and she works nearly every day so I suppose I'm lucky. It seems that it's hard for you to find a nice day to settle down and blog. D:
*hugs* stay cool though, and happy early birthday once again! ;D
Yeah I know how the time between updates can really slip away. Nice site updates. w00t! for tax checks. Why are the boots so hard to move around in? Are they too tight or high or? I'm glad you got the monochrome Chucks after all that run around. I like the outfit! It is a cool can. lol @ the story. Happy 3 days for your birthday day!
whoo hoo you're back finally & dances with joy*.i've missed your blogs.i'm sorry the boots didn't work ut for you and it stinks that a pair of shoes are 80 dollars,them money grubbers.i'm like that to wiht blogging,i've bene wanting too,i've accually been wanting to do alot on all my sites but the time never comes up even when 'm online so my sites just sit there and rot,oh well life goes on,maybe ill accually update soon.
Happy birthday! :) Made you a lil' something: http://www.whirlwind.nu/1-b-day.jpg
Don't worry about not blogging too much during the summer...it seems to happen to a lot of people. Myself obviously included.
I'm glad that you now realize the amazing comfyness that are REAL Chucks. The comfort is totally worth the extra money. I own a pair of knock off Chucks, but hardly ever wear them because I have 8 pairs of real Chucks that are more comfortable that I can wear instead!
...And one of my 8 pairs of real Chucks are monochrome black! My mom gave them to me and I LOVE them.
Too bad about your boots though, because those were pretty freaking awesome. But your slightly modified outfit is still amazing.
Happy birthday in advance! I hope you have an amazing day!

The West Edmonton Mall is pretty breathtaking the first time you're in it. It's HUGE....and there's so many random things there (skating rink, casino, shooting range...). I will take pictures and write an entry about it at some point.
However, the novelty wears off quickly when you're working there. Although I understand why you envy my job, the fact is that I still work in retail, and I still deal with all the *wonderful perks* that come with that (I know that you've worked in retail, so I'm sure that you know that I'm talking about). Throw in having to spend an hour on public transit just to get to West Ed and another hour to get home (the mall, being so huge, is on the very outskirts of Edmonton), and you get my "meh. It's a job" attitude.
Happy Early Birthday!!! I hope you have fun!
WOOT, a really big blog. Well, lets start with Converse. I hate knock off Converse they are really horrid and uncomfortable. I have a real pair of traditional Converse, the only size that fit me was a size 3.
Your Green Day concert outfit looks awesome! I really like the tops and the socks. I've always wanted really cool tall socks, but have yet to get any.
I watched that Green Day fan video, it was amazing. Your parts where some of the best I must admit.
Happy Birthday! Hope ya get lots of loot. Ah, boots - I've always wondered how someone is expected to actually walk in such things. I mean Gene Simmons always made it work back in the day - and even now I 'spose - (yes, I have to reference bands from my era) but he was, and is, a rock god so I guess he has that whole skill set going for him. Loved the video collab! It was made of truly formidable awesomeness and cookies. Be that as it may, have a wondrous and magical day filled with . . . uh, er . . . wonder and magic. And birthday goodness.
Argh! Happy belated birthday - I'm a day late, I suck, and I'm sorry. I hope you had a lovely day though. <3 xxx.
First off, happy belated birthday! sorry I'm a day off!
Love the outfit, it's pretty cool. I'm finding it hard to blog lately too, but maybe I'll get around to it this weekend *fingers crossed*. The collab video came out pretty cool, I'm a big fan of Green Day's older stuff, my favorite album being Kerplunk. And that's a lot of money for Chucks! By me they go for around $50. And I didn't know they were called monocrome, but I have the same pair :)
mmmm... just wanted to add, Basket Case is my fav from them!
Well, poop skillet! I have only one hour to return all these comments and you write a friggin long blog, the size of Kanas! I also have to do other junk within this hour.
Thank goodness I have read half when you posted it, but I flipping forgot it.
But that sucks. So I am only going to reply to half and maybe just maybe later sometime I can reply to the rest. or I may just reply to the comment and pictures.
Also sorry for the late reply, been busier than a cow having her babe.
Sorry about your shoes, that you can't walk in (I think that is what you said. ). Have fun, with your originals. :P
So that is all I saying, too lazy right now to read it.
I'm glad you like the layout, took me forever to make it, literally.
I seen your vid clip, miss skip around! :P
Happy belated birthday again. That outfit is the perfect one for going to a Green Day concert. Please don't go another month posting a blog, I like coming here reading your stuff.
This is totally random ha but...i was going through my email and we were eamiling loads in 2004. I used to own kool-katz.com (cringe) and then shallowheart.org and screamlove.org
SO long ago but its nice to see this site is still going :)
Hey girl, just wanted to let yah know I've opened!
Chucks really are the comfiest shoes ever, I've had mine since I was 14. Just wait until you break into them, then they'll be even more comfier! :D
And Happy Belated Birthday! *sends green day cupcake* :3
Oh my god! How cute is your hair!
Mallory! It's Krystal from Route17.org. I've closed the site down. :( Haha, I'm sick of paying for a domain that I hardly use. I'm probably going to get hosted by someone and start up a nice personal blog again, just like old times! So, you'll for sure be my first affiliate! :D Haha.
I've missed you, your blog, and the whole scene! You'll be seeing more of me again!
Are you going to Green Day in Toronto in a couple of weeks? I am. I know I have nothing for you to comment back to, but you can drop me an email, or something.
Anyway! I'm excited for you! You're the biggest Green Day fan I know! The most faithful too.
Happy Belated Birthday, too!
AMG, FML D: I remember saying to myself "I'm gonna leave a comment on Mallorys site on her actual birthday so that I can be all HAPPY BIRTHDAAAAAAAY on my comment :D" ...But I didn't. ;____; I remember having your site open and everything but I think my friend came to my door asking me to come out or something like that.. I don't even know, but FML... I do apologise and this is late but
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MALLORYYYYYY :D
Although I think I told you this on twitter. And MSN. Twice. But you weren't meant to be signed on anyway, so that doesn't count. XD I find this new mail thing weird, signing you onto web messenger. I didn't even know a web messenger existed... But I use a mad mail program thingymabob so .. HMMM.
And WOOOOAHHHH.. your outfit is made of win... And that's coming from someone whos name rhymes with WIN so it MUUUUUST be made of win if Rin says it's made of win ^____~ ...god i fail...
And I watched the mad Green Day collab video when this entry was first posted, and AHMAGOD it's amazing :D So well put together and I found your part interesting to watch. I even showed my mum and wee sister, as they like Green Day, and when your bit came up I was like "YEAH THATS MY FRIEND MALLORYYYY FROM DA INTERWEBS, BE JELOUSSSS!!!!!111" and my wee sister thought I was lying cos, apparently, it's not possible to know people from the internet, especially ones who are on YouTube videos... WTF, she's an idiot. But she enjoyed the video so I'll let her away with it. XD
