5 January 2011

Happy 2011, everyone --- I hope the New Year has been as good to all of mallorymaloney.com's visitors as it has been to Mallory Maloney thus far! ^o^

Aside from the fact that I've been overwhelmingly busy since the first of the month, that is. x_X; Even as I type this, I'm doing approximately fourteen thousand other things at once ... And for each of those fourteen thousand things I'm doing, I'm thinking about doing seventeen thousand more. Ack! @_@;

Other than being wildly busy, though, ((And other than waking up on the first of January with a horribly full blown cold, which, thankfully, abated as the next couple days passed,)) 2011 has been pretty damn good to me, overall! I mean, let's face it, feeling stressed out from being busy is leagues better than feeling stressed out from being bored, right? ^^;

Still, though, there's so much coming up in my life that I have to prepare for, it's ridiculous. Plus I'm still trying to finished things that I should've completed last month, to boot! v_v;

Needless to say, my To Do List is impressive --- In a monstrously frightening sort of way, that is. I've got atrociously late Christmas presents to make and send, birthday presents and a card to make and send, ((These two items alone require sub To Do Lists attached just below them,)) My entire room needs a humongous tidying and cleaning session, ((All the presents I received for Christmas are piled anywhere and everywhere,)) I need to plan what I'm going to wear, bring, and buy and bring to New York City to see the American Idiot Musical for the second time on 26 January ...

;She takes a deep breath and continues, her eyes growing unnaturally large and filling up with comical tears.;

... I need to plan two, possibly three more additional events coming up in the first half of this year, ((I'd elaborate as to what the events are, but I don't wanna use up all my exciting blog topics for the entire year in the first five days, haha!)) I need to finish editing a video that I wanted to upload to mallorymaloney.com for the last few freakin' months, multiple pages around mallorymaloney.com are in desperate need of an update, ((For example, my Wishlist and Movies I Must See pages,)) All of the Read Me files packaged with all of the ZIP files in the Downloads section need to be rewritten ...

;She holds in a round of sobs as she continues to list everything that she needs to attend to, shuffling sideways back and forth across the room as she flails her arms about in a distressed manner.;

... I need to take a photo of myself wearing the 'tribal fang' necklace I won from VampireWear.Com last month so that I can be included on their Vampire Tribe page, I need to choose, resize and upload a new user picture that isn't atrociously outdated to Twitter, YouTube, and the rest of the sites I use online that require the user to upload a photo of themselves to be used as an avatar, and, of course, I have mallorymaloney.com's blogs to write and comments to return each week! ;_;

;She crouches in a dark corner whilst rubbing her running eyes and nose in a clumsy manner, reduced to a whimpering heap.;

... Plus, I have my weekly and daily household chores and duties to complete, which include babysitting my three younger brothers for entirety of every single day, ((Again, this item alone requires a miniature To Do List beneath it, because I have to make sure they always complete their chores and duties every day, as well,)) Making supper every weeknight, helping out in my family's locksmith every day, vacuuming and cleaning the upstairs, downstairs, downstairs bathroom, and shop every couple of days, keeping an eye on the laundry, ((Thankfully, my Mum takes care of most of the laundry, or I'd really be fucked,)) And generally keeping the house in order.

And in case you're wondering why I'm in charge of all these things, it's because my Mum and Dad both work full time, ((My Mum in the salon she owns and runs, as well as a newly acquired job she has at a natural heath supplement superstore, and my Dad in the locksmith shop he owns and runs,)) And thus are unable to do much of it themselves. And even though my oldest youngest brother, Cameron, is eighteen, he's incapable of being in charge of much of anything, as he's extremely immature. I don't normally approve of using this word, as it seems hypocritical considering I'm extremely immature myself ... But compared to my brother, I've got the mindset of a forty year old. o_O;

And, worst of all, I've been dying to draw new drawings and paint new paintings and create new creations and write new writings and sing new songs and read new books and watch new episodes of Family Guy and iCarly and various anime series for what seems like an eternity, but I can't see wasting any of my time doing so when I have such a massive list of other, more 'important' things that need near immediate tending to! T_T;

;She suddenly jumps up from the corner she was previously crouching in, screwing up her face and smashing her limbs into every available surface whilst screaming at the top of her lungs --- A full blown temper tantrum.;

AAARRRGGGHHH! IT'S NOT FAIR IT'S NOT FAIR I NEVER HAVE ANY TIME FOR MYSELF ALL I DO IS WORK WORK WORK AND WHAT DO I GET OUT OF IT NOTHING THAT'S WHAT IT'S NOT FAIR NOT FAIR I TELL YOU AND I WON'T HAVE IT I'LL HAVE NONE OF IT I WON'T HAVE A FRACTION MORE OF IT AND I'LL DO NOTHING AND SEE HOW YOU LIKE IT THEN!

;She stomps around in a circle for a several minutes after this rather violent outburst, all while muttering darkly about her plans of mass murder and other equally illegal yet rage reducing activities.;

=_=

>_>;

o_o

... Okay, so now that I have lots of quickly purpling bruises, surface cuts, and multiple yet minor bone fractures, I'm gonna head on over to the hospital, get patched up real quick, and then get back to tacklin' my To Do List.

;She skips off in a gimpy yet cheerful sort of way.;

^_^

  1. awwww! such an overworked mal-mal!
    i never understand why i hear of your parents talking about you in a way that suggests you "do nothing" or are "lazy" in anyway. you're always twittering about cooking dinner and cleaning this or that. okay, one could get snotty and point out that while you are over 18 years old you do get a place to live for free. the second *I* turned 18 and graduated high school, but still lived at home my parents started to charge me RENT. but you don't just sit around and sponge this free place to live situation, though you conceivable could owing to the fact that they're your parents may allow such a thing since they "love you" and all, but you do not. you help. you contribute to the household. you cook and clean and watch out for your siblings (though i did chores and STILL had to pay rent ^.^') but you should still be allowed a "day off" every now and again. one day a week shouldn't be too much to ask for you to get your own personal shit in order and the other six days spend sorting out the rest of the house.
    take a day off, for goshsakes!

  2. Well... that certainly is a lot, isn't it? LOL. It's good to be busy, though. I find myself in the same boat. So preoccupied with work, and then when work is done, I've got the boyfriend, the cats, sleeping, domestic duties and such to juggle. -_-

    I find that just taking five minutes out of the day to enjoy some tea, and just... stop the noise in my head certainly makes it all easier.

  3. Happy new year!

    Its awesome that you are discovering new horror films.

    Is that the up-coming Silent Hill movie?
    Because its one of my reason to survive 2011 and I really have to go see it. O_O

  4. wow you have a busy time..i feel for you getting sick.hubby,son and myslef all were sick as can be for a week.and until sunday i have no child so im working liek crazy on site stuff.ive got some graphcis made and my next 2 layotus done..who knwos what ill make tomorrow or sat.i also have bills,bills and more bills due ugh

  5. Happy (BUSY) new year. ;)

  6. Funny you should mention your wishlist, I have been trying to integrate my Amazon one with my site with no luck so far. (Hey did you ever try the font generator?)

    Happy New Year.

  7. Jeez!! You are super busy! I have a ton of lists as well, and when I write it all down it calms me at first, but then I see my lists everywhere and start getting a little nutty myself.

    That's so cool that you're going back to NYC! How long are you guys staying for? I was actually right near the theater where American Idiot is a few weeks ago when I was in NYC. I thought of you!! My boyfriend and I are trying to save up to see it since he also loves Green Day and I too enjoy them! =]

    Good luck with all of your to-do's. I have no doubt that you will complete them all with dignity and class (lol!). PS - did you get my email?

  8. Aww it'll be okay! *pat pat* I've got a huge to-do list to get out of the way too... and I have to get all of it done before the semester starts... AND I keep getting snowed in... life should just stop when it snows... lol!

    Anyway, do what I do... get the small stuff done first, then break the big stuff up into different days and promise yourself that you get to stop at *this time* for a little "you" time.

    And did I read that correctly? A new video?! OMG! *dances*

  9. No problem :) I'll still be visiting your site on a regular basis, it's always been one of my favorites. I'm feeling a lot better thanks, this recovering though x]

  10. Haha well keep on enjoying the new year! Btw, I forgot to thank you for the Christmas card, so without futher ado... Thanks!!!

    I'm sure you'll find something awesome to wear! My friend just went and saw American Idiot last Wednesday and she said with Billy Joe it was amaz-balls! It definitely brings a different dimension to the show.

    Good luck with your chores, don't get overwhelmed!

  11. I, too, am excited for this new video you speak of, as I always like perving on your face. You're just too pretty and it makes me mad.

    You're seeing American Idiot in New York again!? Jeez, woman, how are you affording this!? D: Wish I could see it X__X

    I'm looking forward to my Christmas present from you; feel free to take your time with it as I'm no closer to sending your stuff to you XD I'm hitting the books for my Psychology exam on Wednesday so I haven't had much time for anything else.

    I'm stressed because I'm busy AND bored; try that for size!!

  12. Thanks for all the kind words on my blog! I quite like my name too, thank you :)

    Gosh, you sound extremely busy at the moment! I'm glad I don't have a to-do list that lengthy, or I might have lost my mind already!

    I hope you have a fantastic time in New York; how I envy you!

    Love,
    Misery.

  13. I think my other comment went to spam?

  14. Oof, sounds like one hell of a heavy to-do list, and it sounds like your daily chores/duties aren't going to make it an easy task to get anything on that list done! You're also a far better sister than I -- had I an adult brother who gets out of doing things because he's immature, I'd end up... doing things I'd get yelled at for. I suppose it's a good thing I'm the youngest of my Dad's kids and my mom's only one, eh? ;)

    I just took a gander at your "Must See Movies" list -- some great ones there! You haven't seen the Blair Witch Project or Silent Hill? Oh, surely this is a felony somewhere -- or, if not, it should be. Both are great, and you should definitely see them. "Quarantine" is also good, but the original (Spanish) "REC" is even better. (The Spanish sequel, "REC 2," is even better still -- better than REC and Quarantine combined, in my terribly-humble opinion.)

    Also, I so want that fang necklace. Might need to buy one. Dangit.

  15. Well, hi back! And thanks :-). I'd have to say that I like yours a lot, too. My favorite color is purple, and it always goes well with black!
