Cover Songs

This page contains some of my most favourite songs ... Songs covered by myself! ^^; Keep in mind, though, that these recordings don't include me playing any instruments --- Just me singing over karaoke, instrumental, or the original song tracks. Now, I do realise I'm not the best singer in the world, but I also know I'm not the worst, either. ((And trust me, I know. I've had the displeasing experience of hearing people do karaoke --- IRL. >_>; Dear lord.)) To take a listen, just click on each song's respective title, and your media player of choice should open after a prompt --- All files are saved in a MP3 format for listening ease! *^^* Oh, and one more thing ... While I don't claim copyright over any of the songs I've covered, I'd prefer if my MP3 files weren't used elsewhere unless you let me know first. ^^; Thank you!

Song Title: East Jesus Nowhere.

Original Artist: Green Day.

Finished Date: 17 April 2010.

About: Once again, I despise the way I sing the word 'suicide' in this recording. What's with me and my voice cracking whenever I encounter this word?! o_O;

Song Title: Lights Out.

Original Artist: Green Day.

Finished Date: 17 April 2010.

About: I haven't really gotten the hang of really low notes yet, so I cringe whenever I hear myself singing the word 'suicide' --- But other than that, I quite like this cover!

Song Title: Last Of The American Girls.

Original Artist: Green Day.

Finished Date: 17 April 2010.

About: Aside from when I sing the word 'alright' near the very end, there's no obvious flubs, pitch fuck ups, or voice crackage as far as the ear can hear --- Which makes this cover near perfect, in my opinion! *^^*

Song Title: Evil Angel.

Original Artist: Breaking Benjamin.

Finished Date: 17 April 2010.

About: This song is always both easy and difficult for me to sing --- The first half of all the verses are no problem for me, nor are the choruses nearest to the end ... But everything else is pretty fucking tough. @_@; I tried my best, though!

Song Title: Getting Away With Murder.

Original Artist: Papa Roach.

Finished Date: 17 April 2010.

About: Despite the fact that my voice warbles out of tune more often than I would've preferred, I still really like this recording --- Mostly due to how enthusiastically I tackled it, haha. ^^;

Song Title: Cocaine.

Original Artist: Nomy.

Finished Date: 9 February 2010.

About: Due to this song being a little 'rarer' than the other songs covered on this page, I wasn't able to find a karaoke or instrumental version to sing along with, so I simply used the actual track, instead. As for the cover itself, I did make a few mistakes here and there ... But for the most part, I'm quite proud with how this recording turned out! ^^

Song Title: Basket Case.

Original Artist: Green Day.

Finished Date: 21 June 2008.

About: The background vocals on this particular Karaoke track always throw me off, man! X_X; However, I think I did my best, so it's all good. ^o^

Song Title: Hurt.

Original Artist: The original artist of this song is Nine Inch Nails, but I'm actually covering the cover by Johnny Cash, haha.

Finished Date: 22 March 2008.

About: Quite pleased with the results of this recording! I had to do it over again at least three times, though ... Kept breaking down and bawling like a wee babe during the chorus. -_-;

Song Title: Brain Stew.

Original Artist: Green Day.

Finished Date: 16 March 2008.

About: I can't tell if I sound like a gay man ... Or just occasionally out of tune. o_O;

Song Title: Time Of Your Life ((Good Riddance)).

Original Artist: Green Day.

Finished Date: 9 March 2008.

About: Fuck, I got really emotional three quarters of a way through the recording, and started crying; So my voice went all manly and husky near the end, or some shit. >_>; Oh, well, that makes it more of a genuine recording, I suppose!

Song Title: In The End.

Original Artist: Linkin Park.

Finished Date: 7 March 2008.

About: Definitely not the best I can do, but I had a lot of fun recording it. ^^;
