Magazine Collages
Title: Winged Queen Of Hypnotic Hardware.
Features: A Picasso/Frankensteinesque assembled girl.
Finished Date: 11 September 2008.
Mediums Used: A piece of cardboard, the September 2008 Anthropologie catalogue, two different local newspapers, a razor blade, scissors, and stick glue.
About: Since I only used one catalogue for this collage, I was able to use body parts all from one model --- Which makes her look more surreally realistic, ((If you will,)) Than if I had used two different girl's arms, two different girl's legs, and so on. The only things that don't don't belong to this model are the three eyes, and the mouth --- These all came from a second model. And of course, don't forget the poetically cryptic sentences in each corner --- I'm especially fond of them!Title: Angel.
Features: A picture of a model, from a photoshoot in the March 2006 issue of Fashion.
Finished Date: 7 July 2006.
Mediums Used: A piece of cardboard, the March 2006 issue of Fashion magazine, white craft feathers, scissors, hot glue gun, and stick glue.
About: I wanted to make this collage for the longest time, since I first saw the picture! I was like, 'All she needs are some wings on her back, and she'd look like an angel.' I decided to use feathers, but I couldn't find any white ones anywhere. I finally found the feathers --- At Dollar Joint, ((Where I work,)) Of all places. The finished result looks awesome in my opinion! ^^Title: Twisted Agenda.
Features: A chaos of seemingly random images.
Finished Date: 19 February 2006.
Mediums Used: A piece of cardboard, various magazines, scissors, stick glue.
About: This collage was originally going to be a layout for mallorymaloney.com; But for whatever reason, I decided against it. It used to have a blank space in the middle, where my domain's content would have gone, but I filled up the blank space with more images. ^^; It's pretty cool, I think.Title: Happy Birth Day Dad.
Features: An angel girl with fish fin wings.
Finished Date: 13 May 2005?
Mediums Used: Thick red computer paper, black construction paper, Toronto Life magazine, scissors, stick glue, black permanent marker, black pen.
About: This is the front of a card I made for my Dad's birthday, and I liked how it turned out. I wasn't planning it to look anything like this, it just sort of built itself, heh. It reminds me of Green Day's character Whatsername from the American Idiot album.
