Paintings

These are the few paintings I have completed over the years! These were all created using 'real' mediums, like canvas boards, watercolours, and so on. ^^ If you'd like to take a closer look, just click on the thumbnails below. ((And remember, please don't take any of these paintings without my explicit permission ... Thank you!))

Title: Uprooted Undergrowth.

Features: A disfigured hybrid of several different elements and beings.

Finished Date: 8 April 2010.

Mediums Used: Heavyweight watercolour paper, Crayola watercolours, pencils and Curry paintbrushes.

About: I wasn't entirely clear on what the 'meaning' of this painting was as it was progressing, but after I fully completed it, the meaning became obvious quite quickly: It's a metaphoric pictorial representation of the clash between the elements and inhabitants of Earth and Hell.

Title: Dry Deliquesce.

Features: A creature from the depths of my imagination.

Finished Date: 20 February 2010.

Mediums Used: Sketchpad paper, Crayola watercolours, pencils and paintbrushes.

About: I honestly have no clue what this piece is all about. At random, I decided I wanted to do a watercolour painting, having never properly worked with the medium before. I started sketching out a vaguely human looking 'base' to begin, letting my subconscious mind take over as I drew ... And after that, I began using the watercolours in the same fashion. I tried not to think too much about each shade before I chose it, I simply picked what felt 'right'. The end result? A strange, apparently female creature who looks as if she's simultaneously melting away and drying up --- Hence the painting's title.

Title: Hidden Cottage.

Features: A road ... Some bushes ... A tree, a cottage, and a butterfly.

Finished Date: 23 February 2005.

Mediums Used: White computer paper, various paints and paintbrushes.

About: I sort of wanted to paint a forest or something ... But it came out like this. I love it.

Title: Cast Out.

Features: Abstract shapes ...

Finished Date: Sometime January 2005?

Mediums Used: Canvas board, various paints and paintbrushes.

About: This painting is about how sometimes ... Some people get left out because they're a little different than the others.

Title: Butterfree.

Features: Butterfree from the anime Pokémon.

Finished Date: 30 September 2002.

Mediums Used: White computer paper, various paints and paintbrushes.

About: I painted this a long, long time ago, during my obsessive Pokémon phase, LOL. I did a pretty decent job, I think! The Japanese text reads 'Pocket Monsters'. ^^
