Blog

19 January 2011

30 April 2011 Edit: Holy shit, guys. I just now realised exactly how long this Hiatus has lasted. Fuck! x_x; I never intended to go nearly four months without a new blog entry, but alas, here it is ... Nearly four months, and a new blog entry's nowhere in sight. Jesus of Suburbia. x_x;

Y'know what, enough of this bullshit, man. mallorymaloney.com will be back with a face melting fury before the month of May ends, and this is a promise --- A promise I don't intend to break! >_<;

TTYS, everyone!

9 March 2011 Edit: Hey again, everyone! Just wanted to quickly drop in and let you all know that mallorymaloney.com's Hiatus is still going fairly strong --- But my Hiatus from Twitter is officially over as of today! It was great to have a break from the Land Of Twit And Honey, but even vacations can get boring, so I'm back!

Be sure to head on over to my Twitter profile and follow me, if you've got an account of your own! And if not, you should totally sign up ... And then follow me! ^u^

And to further elaborate on mallorymaloney.com's Hiatus continuing, no worries: It's gonna be over soon! I just need a bit more time off first, okay? ^^; Besides, I've got loads of cool stories to share when I get back, so you deffo won't be disappointed! ^_~

See you all again soon, darklings! ♥

2 February 2011 Edit: Sorry, guys, but there's not going to be a new blog entry here on mallorymaloney.com today. I know I promised on 19 January that I was going to update you all on my second trip to New York City, as well as the special event that took place on 29 January, but to be perfectly honest, I just don't feel like it.

I've been so frazzled and drained and rushed and overworked lately with loads of other shit in my life that I simply need a break from my site --- And from Twitter, as well, because I'm sick of feeling tremendously guilty when I don't have the time to Tweet.

I'm not sure how long this Hiatus will last --- I'm hoping to be back before February's over, but I'm not making any more promises I might have to break late on --- But when I return, I'll go over both the trip to New York City and the special event for everyone straight away! ((If there's even anyone left who still visits on a regular basis, that is ... Heh. x_x;))

'Til then, much love, darklings ... And before anyone asks, no, mallorymaloney.com will not be closing --- I just need a break, that's all! -_-;

I apologise in advance for likely breaking all of your hearts, but I'm afraid that, like last week's entry, this one's going to be rather lackluster, as well --- And to make matters worse, there isn't going to be an entry next week at all. Lacking of lust or otherwise. x_o;

There's two excuses --- I mean, two, uh, perfectly good reasons --- As to why this week and the next are both gonna be seriously sucky in the bloggage department, though, so allow me to explain.

The reason this week's entry sucks is simple yet depressing. Basically, I've been having an annoyingly tough time lately trying to keep up with my daily household chores, duties, and various To Do Lists, to the point where even the thought of blogging in addition to all that shit is close to impossible --- Especially when you can't think of anything to write about other than the shit you should really be attending to instead of sitting around and typing up a blog, heh.

However, I suppose a somewhat shitty blog entry's better than none at all, which was the plan I had in mind right up until about 7:00 PM tonight! u_u; I was actually in the midst of typing up a quick edit to last week's entry stating why I wouldn't be posting an entry this week, when I realised I had more mundane things to type about than I originally thought!

As for the reason behind not blogging on next week, on 26 January, I'll admit that it's considerably more happy making, as I'm gonna be in New York City to see the American Idiot Musical on Broadway for the second time that day and thus be unable to blog! ^^; Rest assured, though, I will post a blog the very next week after the show, on 2 February --- And I'm sure that entry will make up for all the shoddy/non existent entries that've been posted this month, because this trip is, quite possibly, going to be even more epic than the first time I visited New York! >w<;

As I mentioned way back in mallorymaloney.com's 8 December 2010 entry, my Dad and I got front row centre AKA 'Row AA' tickets for this show --- Which is the closest type of seats you can buy in a Broadway theatre --- As opposed to the front row centre mezzanine tickets we had last time, which were much higher up and further back, haha! ^^;

Plus, Billie Joe Armstrong's going to be playing the part of Saint Jimmy in this show, and because I'm going to be sitting so very close to the stage --- About two or three feet, I believe --- There's a very high chance I might be able to momentarily meet Billie Joe when the entire cast of the musical lines up at the front of the stage for a group bow during the curtain call! *_*;

For those of mallorymaloney.com's visitors who don't know, Billie Joe is an extremely motherfucking important person to me, and meeting him is actually on my somewhat ridiculous mental Things To Do Before I Die list ... So to be able to 'check off' such an impossible task would just be ridiciously spectacular. I can't think about it spot on directly, though, or I'll get all excited and be unable to properly focus on anything until the show's done and over ... Which would suck. #_#;

Despite this, though, I recently bought a small gift to attempt to hand Billie Joe during the curtain call --- A rose crafted entirely of black goose feathers, which I bought online from a shop called SunshineJoy.Com. Around its long stem I'm planning to attach a small scroll of sorts, and on it will be written a short yet adoring note to Billie thanking him for everything he's done for me and for the rest of his fans around the world.

A hastily snapped photograph of the rose, ((Sans scroll, as I haven't had the time to create it yet,)) Can be viewed in full size by clicking the thumbnail below. I'll try and get a proper photo of the rose in natural light, paired with the scroll after I make it ... If I can find the time. v_v; I'm gonna have search pretty Goddamn hard to find that time, though, because the photo below doesn't do this ridiculously gorgeous artificial rose an ounce of justice!

Now, as for the trip to and from New York City itself, it's not going to be nearly as 'cushy' as my last trip there and back ... And that one was pretty rough as is! To save money, this time around my Dad and I aren't going to stay in a hotel overnight --- Instead, we're going to leave the house around 11:00 PM the night before the show, drive the three hours to Niagara Falls, New York in our shoddiest car, ((So we don't have to give a fuck in case it gets stolen,)) Park it at the train station, get on the train around 3:30 AM, ride the train all the way into New York City, get off the train at 12:30 PM, do a bunch of shopping and sightseeing for the seven and a half hours before the show starts at 8:00 PM, see the show, hopefully meet Billie Joe, then, after the show and all the excitement's over, we're gonna get back on a train to go home.

Except there's no trains back home until 7:15 AM the next morning. So what we're gonna do is wander about the safer parts of the city, stopping in restaurants and cafes and bars along the way to keep warm and to sample various food and drink, haha. I don't know how well my Dad or I are gonna handle this rather incredible feat, but we've really got no other choice! #_#;

Then, a couple days after this trip, on 29 January, I've got another rather amazing event taking place a little closer to home --- However, I'm not going to specify as to what, exactly, this event is going to entail, as it's more fun to keep secret until after it happens! ^_~ Bwehehe ...

I will say a couple things about it, though! The first one being that you guys are totally gonna freak when you hear what went down, and the second one being that I still have no idea WTF I'm gonna wear to this super stellar secret event! T_T; I was thinking of my new black and green zombie shirt I got for Christmas, paired with black skinny jeans and the black and green tutu I made to wear to the Green Day concert on 16 July 2009 in Hamilton, Ontario, but I'm not totally sure! @_@;

And even more distressing is the fact that I don't fucking know exactly what I'm going to wear to New York City, either! X_X; Ack! It's a lot tougher than picking out a regular outfit, too, as I'm going to be wearing it for nearly forty eight hours, with a shitload of those hours being spent outside in possibly freezing weather ... So choosing anything too cumbersome or uncomfortable or lacking in warmth is pretty much out.

... Which basically eliminates my entire wardrobe. >_>;

Worry not, though, darklings! I have a few rough ideas as to what I'm gonna wear and how I'm gonna wear it, so I'm fairly confident that everything'll work out smoothly in regards to that. And hey, let's be honest, here; When it comes to fashion and beauty, I've always got something wicked up my sleeve! ^_~

Now then! In conclusion, I'll let you all know how everything works out in mallorymaloney.com's next blog entry, which, again, will be posted 2 February. Be sure to check back then so you don't miss a single byte of my adventure recaps! *w*;

Much love and sugar sprinkled innards! ♥
