This photographs were all taken on 10 March 2008, and they feature views of the snow covered lake near my home. I had to climb up onto a partially demolished 'ice castle' to get most of these shots! Explanation ahead, no worries ... My city builds a castle of ice and snow every year for something called the Winter Carnival, which runs for a few days. But when the carnival is over, they destroy the castle almost entirely for 'safety issues'. This doesn't make sense to me, seeing as I was still a good ten feet off ground level ... So maybe they decided to just let it melt naturally this year? I'm not sure. o_O But whatever; I got good shots, and that's all that matters! ^u^ Click the thumbnails to view actual size. ^_^
